Taxonomy
Striithyris telemi was named by Feldman et al. (2001). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Subunit 43, Matmor Formation, Hamakhtesh Hagadol, which is in a Callovian deep subtidal shelf limestone in the Matmor Formation of Israel.
