Taxonomy
Discamphiceras tipperi was named by Frebold (1967). Its type specimen is GSC 19926, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GSC 62477, Tyaughton Creek, which is in an Angulata marine siliciclastic in the Last Creek Formation of Canada.
