Ananias marcouiana
Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria marcouiana was named by Geinitz (1866). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nebraska City Section, Clay Pits southeast of Nebraska City, which is in a Virgilian marine shale in the Pillsbury Shale Formation of Nebraska.
It was recombined as Phanerotrema marcouianum by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was recombined as Glabrocingulum (Ananias) marcouiana by Sloan (1955); it was recombined as Ananias marcouiana by Knight (1945), Wagner (2023).
