Taxonomy
Phacops (Boeckops) algericus was named by Alberti (1983). It is not extant. Its type locality is Middle Pragian Marl (Unit 5a) at Ben Zireg, Bechar Basin, SW Algeria, which is in a Pragian offshore marl/limestone in the Saheb el Djir Formation of Algeria.
