Pleurotomaria striatissima was named by Reed (1901) [Pleurotomaria striatissima Salter in Cowper Reed 1901]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Leptozone striatissima by Watkins (1979); it was recombined as Prosolarium striatissima by Wagner (2023).
