T. N. Smirnova 1994Shells fairly flat or moderately convex, usuallly nonplicate, with fairly straight beak and high false area. Dental lamellae massive and divergent. Umbonal cavities sometimes partly filled with additional calcareous material. Cardinal process tripartite, with double columnar separation of muscle striation. Brachidial loop spinous, triangular, and with long flanges making up 2/3 length of loop
