Holcothyris subovalis

Taxonomy

Holcothyris subovalis was named by Buckman (1917). Its type specimen is GSI Nos. K41/519-526 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Se-In, which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.

Synonyms

Holcothyris flexa was named by Buckman (1917). Its type specimen is GSI Type No. 11785 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hpalai (=Hpalaing), which is in a Bathonian carbonate limestone in the Namyau Beds Formation of Myanmar.

It was synonymized subjectively with Holcothyris subovalis by Yang and Shi (1987).
