Taxonomy
Aromasithyris was named by Alméras (1970) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath-u J Call Sepkoski's reference number: 882,1027]. Its type is Terebratula balinensis.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); to Terebratulinae by Atrops and Alméras (2005); and to Lophrothyridinae by Williams et al. (2006).
