Taxonomy
Boubeithyris was named by Cox and Middlemiss (1978) [Sepkoski's age data: K Vala-l K Ceno-l Sepkoski's reference number: 776]. Its type is Terebratula boubei.

It was assigned to Terebratulida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Sellithyridinae by Williams et al. (2006).
