Pycnolepas tithonica
Taxonomy
Brachylepas tithonicus was named by Withers (1912) [TYPE SPECIMEN: Is "electrotype". Holotype is a carina in the M. Remeš Collection (Olomouc).]. Its type specimen is NHM I.15819, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Štramberk, white limestone (Remes collection), which is in a Tithonian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the White Limestone Formation of Czechia.
It was recombined as Pycnolepas tithonica by Jagt et al. (2007).
