Calantica (Scillaelepas) cardabia was named by Buckeridge (1983). Its type specimen is 71.275, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cy Creek [Miria Marl], which is in a Maastrichtian shallow subtidal sandstone in the Miria Formation of Australia.
