Taxonomy
Lepas sattmanni was named by Harzhauser and Schloegl (2012). Its type specimen is NHMW 2003z0026 ⁄ 0487, an other, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pucking, which is in an Aquitanian offshore claystone in the Ebelsberg Formation of Austria.
