Taxonomy
Grabauornis lingyuanensis was named by Dalsatt et al. (2014). Its type specimen is CAS V14595, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dawangzhangzi, which is in a Barremian/Aptian lacustrine shale in the Yixian Formation of China. It is the type species of Grabauornis.
