Thylacares brandonensis
Taxonomy
Thylacares brandonensis was named by Haug et al. (2014). Its type specimen is UWGM 1748, a carapace, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Waukesha Lime and Stone Company quarry, which is in a Telychian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal mudstone/dolomite in the Brandon Bridge Formation of Wisconsin. It is the type species of Thylacares.
