It was reranked as the superorder Nematophora by Shear and Edgecombe (2010) and Riquelme and Hernández-Patricio (2018).

It was assigned to Diplopoda by Handschin (1944); and to Eugnatha by Shear and Edgecombe (2010) and Riquelme and Hernández-Patricio (2018).
