Taxonomy
Magallanesia canaliculata was named by Sano et al. (2014). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Butuanon River, which is in an Albian reef, buildup or bioherm volcaniclastic in the Philippines. It is the type species of Magallanesia.
