Plectothyrella itacurubiensis
Taxonomy
Plectothyrella itacurubiensis was named by Benedetto et al. (2013) [? Plectothyrella itacurubiensis
= 1991 Clarkeia antisiensis (d’Orbigny, 1847); Boucot et al., p. 513, figs 1–3.]. Its type specimen is CEGH-UNC 24464b, a valve (internal mould of dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is San Fernando Quarry, which is in a Hirnantian shallow subtidal sandstone/siltstone in the Eusebio Ayala Formation of Paraguay.
