Taxonomy
Trhypochthonius lopezvallei was named by Arillo et al. (2012). Its type specimen is CPT-4161, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is San Just amber, which is in an Albian terrestrial amber in the Escucha Formation of Spain.
