Glyptorthis irregularis
Taxonomy
Glyptorthis irregularis was named by Cooper (1956). Its type specimen is USNM 116936a, a valve (pedicle valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Raccoon Valley, 3/4 mile northeast of Fleanor Mill, Powell Station, which is in a Blackriveran carbonate limestone in the Wardell Formation of Tennessee.
