Taxonomy
Ectenaspis burkhalteri was named by Amati (2014). Its type specimen is OU 11827, a cephalon/head (cranidium with left eye-stalk and palpebral lobe preserved), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hillside exposure and stream cut, about 2.5 km west of Nebo, OK, which is in a Maysvillian deep subtidal grainstone/rudstone in the Welling Formation of Oklahoma.
