Symethis johnsoni
Taxonomy
Symethis johnsoni was named by Rathbun (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Prairie Creek, Sucarnochee Clays, which is in a Paleocene coastal claystone in the Sucarnochee Clay Formation of Alabama. It is the type species of Giulianolyreidus.
It was recombined as Macroacaena johnsoni by Armstrong et al. (2009), van Bakel et al. (2012); it was recombined as Giulianolyreidus johnsoni by Karasawa et al. (2014), Schweitzer et al. (2018), Feldmann et al. (2019).
