---|---|---|
A. Williams 1962 | Transversely semi-oval Rafinesquina with a deeply concavo-convex profile due to a rounded geniculation affecting the shell at about 12 mm. from the ventral umbo; radial ornamentation cancellated and consisting of closely spaced costellae, commonly 6 per millimetre antero-medianly, segregated into narrow sectors, about 1 mm. wide, by strongly accentuated costae and costellae; dental lamellae widely divergent, ventral muscle-scar subcircular, slightly wider than long and about one-quarter as long as the pedicle valve; cardinal process lobes small but wide, high with a negligible notothyrial platform and median ridge, socket plates well developed, disposed parallel to the hinge-line. |
