Taxonomy
Hibbertia orbicularis was named by Jones and Woodward (1899). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is County Tyrone, which is in a Sandbian marine shale in the Bardahessiagh Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Hibbertia.
