Euzonosoma
Taxonomy
Euzonosoma was named by Spencer (1930) [Sepkoski's age data: O u C Tour Sepkoski's reference number: 2]. It is not extant. Its type is Euzonosoma orbitoides. It is the type genus of Euzonosomatidae. It was considered monophyletic by Dean Shackleton (2005).
It was synonymized subjectively with Encrinaster by Jell and Theron (1999).
It was assigned to Euzonosomatidae by Spencer (1930), Lehmann (1957); to Encrinasterinae by Harper and Morris (1978); to Oegophiurida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Encrinasteridae by Owen (1965), Spencer and Wright (1966), Dean Shackleton (2005).
It was synonymized subjectively with Encrinaster by Jell and Theron (1999).
