Eumorphoceras tumulosum was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971). Its type specimen is PIN 455/37832, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pis'myanka River, Sample 2, which is in an Arnsbergian carbonate carbonate in the Russian Federation.
