Taxonomy
Ophiomusium was named by Lyman (1869) [Sepkoski's age data: J Sine R]. It is extant. Its type is Ophiomusium eburneum.
It was assigned to Ophiurida by Sepkoski (2002); to Ophiolepidinae by Matsumoto (1915), Spencer and Wright (1966) and Donovan et al. (2005); to Ophiolepididae by Jagt (2000), Storc and Zitt (2008) and Thuy and Kroh (2011); and to Ophiosphalmidae by O'Hara et al. (2018).
It was assigned to Ophiurida by Sepkoski (2002); to Ophiolepidinae by Matsumoto (1915), Spencer and Wright (1966) and Donovan et al. (2005); to Ophiolepididae by Jagt (2000), Storc and Zitt (2008) and Thuy and Kroh (2011); and to Ophiosphalmidae by O'Hara et al. (2018).
