Polydolops serra

Taxonomy
Polydolops serra was named by Ameghino (1902). Its type specimen is MACN 10341, a mandible (a fragment of a left mandibular ramus with P2 (double rooted) and P3 complete, and anterior edge of M1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barranca south of Lago Colhue-Huapi, Gran Barranca, which is in a Bartonian terrestrial claystone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina.
