Taxonomy
Zephyroceras kiaense was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971). Its type specimen is PIN 455/37013, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kiya River, sample 5, which is in an Arnsbergian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
