A. J. Bigwood and R. S. Hill 1985Stomates individually sunken in discontinuous rows parallel to the long axis of the leaf. Stomatal orientation predominantly transverse or oblique to the long axis of the leaf. Subsidiary cells usually 4, occasionally 5 or 6. Cuticular flange prominent between adjoining subsidiary cells.
