Podocnemis harrisi
Taxonomy
Podocnemis harrisi was named by Pacheco (1913). Its type specimen is 3 carapace fragments, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Collina Station, Barretos, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone/coal in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil.
It was recombined as Roxochelys harrisi by Kischlat (1994) and Romano and Azevedo (2007); it was considered a nomen dubium by Oliveira and Romano (2007), Gaffney et al. (2011) and Romano et al. (2013).
