Epidermal cell walls heavily buttressed, particularly on the leaf surface with the greatest stomata1 density. Stomates in clear bands on either side of mid-vein on both leaf surfaces. Polar subsidiary cell walls heavily buttressed, but lateral subsidiary cell walls straight. Polar subsidiary cells not elongate, often shared between adjacent stomates. |
