Taxonomy
Diselma microfolius was named by Paull and Hill (2009). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype: B-475 stored in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the University of Adelaide, South Australia., a sterile axis (Cuticle), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Balfour, which is in an Oligocene/Miocene terrestrial horizon in Australia.
