Litocrinus was named by Lane and Sevastopulo (1982) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 906]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Allagecrinidae by Webster and Jell (1992); and to Disparida by Sepkoski (2002).
