It was recombined as Phacops maxima by Schmidt (1907); it was recombined as Chasmops maxima by Bekker (1925) and Dean (1961); it was recombined as Chasmops maximus by Paskevicius (1997); it was recombined as Toxochasmops (Schmidtops) maxima by Roomusoks (1998); it was recombined as Toxochasmops (Schmidtops) maximus by Roomusoks (2004).
