Taxonomy
Goniothyris amoena was named by Seifert (1963). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Oberdorf, Parkinsoni Oolith, which is in a Bajocian marine horizon in the "Parkinsoni Oolith" Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Morrisithyris amoena by Alméras (1970).
