Taxonomy
Apographiocrinus was named by Moore and Plummer (1940) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u P Wc]. It is not extant. Its type is Apographiocrinus typicalis. It is the type genus of Apographiocrinidae, Apographiocrinoidea.

It was assigned to Cladida by Sepkoski (2002); to Apographiocrinoidea by Webster and Donovan (2015); and to Apographiocrinidae by Webster (1987), Mao et al. (2018).
