Megachasma applegatei
Taxonomy
Megachasma applegatei was named by Shimada et al. (2014). Its type specimen is LACM 122190, a tooth (complete tooth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pyramid Hill Sand Member grit zone, which is in a Chattian marine sandstone in the Jewett Formation of California.
