Taxonomy
Orthotarbus longipes was named by Simon (1971). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Waste Heap from Karl-Moritz-Schachte (Simon collection), which is in a Stephanian C lacustrine sandstone/coal in the Wettiner Formation of Germany.
