Loriolometra was named by Jagt (1999) [Sepkoski's age data: K Albi K Camp]. It is not extant. Its type is Comaster retzii.

It was assigned to Comatulida by Rasmussen (1961), Sepkoski (2002); and to Notocrinidae by Jagt (1999), Hess and Messing (2011).
