Omanoselache contrarius
Taxonomy
Polyacrodus contrarius was named by Johns (1997). Its type specimen is GSC 105093, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aylard Creek East, Laird formation, ACE-1, which is in a Ladinian marine horizon in the Laird Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Prolatodon contrarius by Pla et al. (2013); it was recombined as Omanoselache contrarius by Koot and Cuny (2014).
