Taxonomy
Porella rogeri was named by Brown (1958). Its type specimen is MGSV, 53055 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Glenaulin, sample IV, which is in a Miocene/Oligocene marine limestone in the Wataepoolan limestone Formation of Australia.
