Opaeophora was named by Brown (1948). It is extant.

It was assigned to Thalamoporellidae by Bassler (1953); and to Microporidae by Brown (1952), Gordon (2012).

  • Foraminella was named by Levinsen (1909) [Not homonym Foraminella Sowerby 1835, a gastropod]. It is extant.

    It was replaced with Opaeophora by Bassler (1953).
