Taxonomy
Siltaria media was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Other specimen: UFP 38, 19 x 91.5. n. comb. ]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 32, 7.5 x 109.3, a microspore (Pollen grain).

A. E. González-Guzmán 1967 (Retitricolporites medius)Pollen grain tricolporate, prolate-subprolate; furrow C α 2, C β 3, C 𝝲 1; pore P α 3, P β 3, P 𝝲 1; sculpture type reticulate; wall semitectate. Columellae clearly visible. Thickness of exine about 1.2 µ; ectexine thicker than endexine. Polar are rather small.
