Tetracolporites pachyexinatus was named by Jaramillo and Dilcher (2001) [Paratype: UFP 37, 8.1 x 97.6.
Type locality: Piñalerita Creek near Sabanalarga.]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UFP 44, 13.5 x 85.1, a microspore (Pollen grain).
