Taxonomy
Thalamoporella howchini was named by Stach (1936). Its type specimen is South Aust. Mus. Coll., No. L2 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cowandilla Bore 485-507 feet, which is in a Cenozoic marine horizon in Australia.
