Patagonia peregrina
Taxonomy
Patagonia peregrina was named by Pascual and Carlini (1987). Its type specimen is MACN-CH-869, a mandible (Mandibles), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southern Cliff of lower Chubut River Valley, near Gaiman, which is in a Colhuehuapian paralic mudstone in the Sarmiento Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Patagonia.
