Scymnerix tartareus
Taxonomy
Scymnerix tartareus was named by Lopatin (2003). Its type specimen is PIN 3106/80, a skull (Skull with lower jaws), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ulan-Khureh, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial horizon in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Scymnerix.
