Orientictis spanios
Taxonomy
Orientictis spanios was named by Huang and Zheng (2005). Its type specimen is IVPP V13787, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 5 km NE of Tianyang County Town, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Gongkang Formation of China. It is the type species of Orientictis.
