Diagnosis
| Reference | Diagnosis | |
|---|---|---|
| W. W. Korth and J. G. Eaton 2004 | Differs from most eomyines in that cusps of cheek teeth are less inflated and lophs are thin and well defined, but otherwise retaining primitive occlusal morphology and brachydont cheek teeth. Differs from other lophate eomyines as follows: from Paradjidaumo and Centimanomys by lacking the attachment of the lingual end of the anterior cingulum to the protoconid on lower cheek teeth and lophs (-ids) not as elongated; cheek teeth lower crowned than in Paradjidaumo; from Pseudotheridomys and other later eomyines by the lack of specializations of the occlusal pattern of the cheek teeth (primitive eomyid pattern retained) and lower-crowned cheek teeth. Differs from namatomyines by the possession of a single, central mesoloph (-id) on the molars. Differs from yoderimyines in the following characters: P3 absent; anterior cingulum not attached by anteroposteriorly oriented loph; markedly smaller size.
