Palaelodus aotearoa
Taxonomy
Palaelodus aotearoa was named by Worthy et al. (2010). Its type specimen is NMNZ S.51799, a limb element (distal right tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is HH1b Home Hills Station (H41/f90), which is in an Altonian lacustrine - large sandstone in the Bannockburn Formation of New Zealand.
